These large Amethyst crystal butterfly wings are from Brazil. This lovely home decor accent features two large Amethyst quartz crystal cluster geodes with a few calcite crystals scattered throughout. The two specimens were a single geode, split and placed together on the black metal stand, displayed as a pair of Amethyst butterfly wings. In the center of the wings is an agate in purple, green, and blue. Forget about a splash of red in your space – purple, the color of royalty, is what you need.
Amethyst is a semiprecious quartz stone often used in jewelry and other decorative items. It is a violet variety of quartz with a Mohs hardness of 7.0. Amethyst can be found in many locations worldwide and is typically mined in Brazil, Uruguay, and Madagascar.
